By now we are all well aware that Cam Newton is black as hell, and anyone who isn’t a hater is 100% here for it. So, in preparation for Cam’s Superbowl debut tonight (which is sure to feature his #carefreeblackboy spirit), here is a quick list of his blackest moments so far. From Cam’s signature end-zone dab to his I’m-so-fed-up press conference answers and spicy personality, see below for all the times he had us like:

1. Let’s start with the obvious. Cam set it off for any Migos enthusiast when he hit the dab in the end zone — exemplifying black joy and pride, and confusing white sportscasters everywhere.

2. When he organized a dab contest at his Thanksgiving fundraiser and was the best hype man to these little kids.

3. What might be better than actually seeing Cam dab is listening to him address why he still does it, despite the criticism. “If you don’t like me to do it then don’t let me in,” he says, adding that his brother told him to “Dab on them folks” (which he says in the deepest Atlanta accent ever).

4. When Cam shows us that he literally could not care less about those who doubt him, and the salt that runneth over in their half-empty glasses of hater tears. “Too bad they don’t make bandaids for feelings,” Cam explains, while 2 Chainz plays in the background. #PEAK

5. Cam legit had every black person missing their grandma when he told us that he sees his career as “a process… like long-cooked collard greens,” which “are brewing right now.”

6. This picture needs no explanation for why its #superblack

7. “Why are you wearing jeans with shoes?” Cam replied to the reporter who annoyingly asked him why he was wearing socks with sandals. “It’s just…it’s comfort,” Cam added, in an omg-seriously, I-should-really-roast-you-right-now tone that matches the irritated half-smile on his face. Like, socks with sandals is not a new thing. We’ve been on that.

8. When Cam kept it emoji-100 honest about the role race plays in how he’s perceived: “I’m an African-American quarterback that may scare a lot of people because they haven’t seen nothing that they can compare me to.”

9. This image of Cam “having his SB towel round his head like a Dipset member,” as Twitter user Henny D Williams described.

…I don’t see the lie

10. Last, but certainly not least, Cam stays on a “who gone stop me, huh?” grind, best exemplified by his “aight, bet” head nod (after which, he led his team to beat the NY Giants).

To see more moments like this and to watch Cam shine, definitely tune in to the Superbowl tonight at 6:30 p.m. EST as the Carolina Panthers take on the Denver Broncos.

I’m sure ya’ll can tell who I’ll be rooting for.
