Fall is upon us! I thoroughly enjoy this season for its mild temperatures, lazy rains and colorful leaves. Most importantly though, this season’s fashion is to die for! Let’s be honest: Sunday Funday brunches become mini-runways where men and women can flaunt the best of their wardrobes while sipping spiked chai teas and pumpkin spice lattes.

Thus, I’m highlighting four style icons, or “stylecons,” who are perpetuating great trends this fall. Some are fashion’s biggest prototypes while others are everyday people who have gained notoriety for their innate sense of style. Be it a part of their profession or their everyday lifestyles, their respective auras ooze glamour and draw attention.

June Ambrose — Fringe Frenzy

This fashionista has made a name for herself since the early ’90s. She’s styled some hip-hop legends, including Jay Z, Diddy and Missy Elliot. This fall, you’ll find her collection, June by June Ambrose, saturated with fringe! This decorative fashion embellishment debuted during the 1920s flapper era. It popped up again during the 1960s and bridged Native American attire to the hippie movement. Fringe has evolved from a political statement to a more relaxed and fun staple of fall 2015, and Ambrose’s collection says it all!

Shiona Turini — Lover of Leather

Fashion Market Director for Cosmopolitan, Turini is a force to be reckoned with. With credentials that include training under Carine Roitfeld and the Tom Ford-era Yves Saint Laurent PR, Turini is an embodiment of fashion. This fall, you’re likely to catch her parading city streets rocking leather. She magically pairs high fashion and bold leather pieces with soft and/or fun clothing compliments, which brings her outfits together beautifully.

Chrystal Saint-Clair — ‘Muva’ of Military Hues

British blogger, stylist and brand influencer, Saint-Clair is a young PR student focusing on fashion and music. Y’all — her taste is impeccable. She has used multiple social media platforms to promote her fashion ferocity. Moreover, her website features a fall/winter 2015 essential guide. In her collection, you’ll find displays of military hues and camouflage colors. Her looks incorporate great office attire and easily transition into a look fit for a night out; perfect for the everyday girl on the go!

Olori Swank — Brown is the New Nude

Atlanta stand up! This celebrity stylist didn’t follow a linear path toward her dream job. At the University of Georgia, Swank studied psychology, biology and aimed to go to medical school. During her gap year, a styling opportunity for Asia Cruise, a Jive Records artist, completely altered Swank’s trajectory. Fast forward a few years and this blue-haired beauty is styling the likes of Teyana Taylor and Childish Gambino. Her brand incorporates a bold and sophisticated look. And in her fall collection, you’ll find tasteful gradients of melanin-loving nudes! Her shoes, outerwear and even her dresses are worthy of the #blackgirlmagic badge of honor.
