Anderson .Paak and Knxwledge both are having great 2016s. .Paak with his critically acclaimed debut album Malibu, guest appearances on Mac Miller, Kaytranada, Schoolboy Q and more have catapulted .Paak to elite status. And with his Grammy win (for his work on Kendrick’s To Pimp A Butterfly), work he’s done on Viceland and more, Knxwledge is gaining traction, too.

However, before Malibu, there was NxWorries, a collaborative effort between Knx and .Paak. We got an EP from the duo in late December, which featured hits such as “Link Up” & “Suede.” After that EP dropped, we got the announcement that an LP was forthcoming. Today I have “Lyk Dis,” which is the first single from their full-length entitled Yes Lawd. .Paak does what he does best, and that’s lace unbelievable songwriting with chill, relaxing but still commanding vocals. Knx’s production fits .Paak like a glove, and this is the album I’ve been waiting a whole year for. Stream the joint below and if you like what you hear, you can pre-order Yes Lawd — which drops October 21st — HERE.
