On Thursday, a grand jury in Baltimore indicted six officers for the death of Freddie Gray. The officers are scheduled to be arraigned on July 2, said state’s attorney for Baltimore City, Marilyn Mosby.
Freddie Gray’s death last month led to many demonstrations and protests around the country and in Baltimore.
During the press conference, Mosby said prosecutors had presented evidence to the grand jury over the last two weeks. Based on this evidence, some of the charges were changed because of new information, however she didn’t say what that new information was.
“As is often the case, during an ongoing investigation, charges can and should be revised based upon the evidence,” Mosby said.
She did not take questions after the press conference.
