Even on the subway in NYC, a place not usually reserved for talking, Luke Cage bringing folks together. But the real hero of this exchange of positive energy is Brooklyn native, Crispin Booker. Crispin filmed this entire feel good anomaly, that starts with the call for people to share stories.

Someone took that call to action seriously and spoke up–a black man in a hoodie. Addressing passengers on the train, the unnamed man said, “Just about a month ago I’d be considered a scary guy with a hoodie – black [with a] beard. But just a month ago on Netflix, Luke Cage  made it cool!”.

He went on to talk about his work for a hedge fund in Manhattan, and how they’re donating computers to Grenada.

The response from the other passengers is infectious. Another rider couldn’t help but share their story of good fortune. Moments like these can change the course of someone’s entire day and perspective.

The fact that Luke Cage was somehow a part of it all, for me, is just the icing on the cake.
