Bill Cosby begins his case in Norristown, Pennsylvania on the sexual assault charges he received in December of last year.
Cosby arrived approximately 8:50am surrounded by police officers, and presumably, security guards who hoisted him up to the courthouse. The proceedings beginning today will focus on whether or not former district attorney Bruce L. Castor dismissed the case, and if that decision more than 10 years ago was still binding. Andrea Constand, the accuser, and her lawyers deny any agreements.
The other cases on deck for Cosby, in Massachusetts and California, are defamation suits in which the women, who’ve claimed Cosby assaulted them, are fighting back against Cosby’s accusations that their accounts are false.
