Candace Owens spoke with Fox News host Laura Ingraham about how the Democratic party is allegedly perpetuating racial divisions Monday night.

Owens referenced her own life experiences, reminiscing over a time before the Obama administration where racial issues had no effect on her life.

"Obama did a lot to tear this country apart," Owen's said. "I do not remember when I was growing up having all of these race issues."

Owens seemed to forget about her own life experiences — luckily the internet and Blavity have not, as shown in this column written in April by Blavity Politics Senior Editor Kandist Mallett. The column points to evidence of a suit the Owens family settled with her school district, for not protecting her rights after a group of white, male students, allegedly sent her threatening voicemails.

According to a report by Marketwatch, one of the messages reportedly referred to her as “dirty" and included threats to burn her house down as well as further threats to tar and feather her.

Even with those past experiences, Owens has never shied away from calling out those who call out white supremacy. In April, she was a Republican witness at a House hearing on white nationalism and hate crimes.

"We’re hearing [terms like 'white nationalism'] sent around today because what they want to say is that brown people want to be scared, which seems to be the narrative that we hear every four years ahead of a presidential election," Owens said.

Owens has yet to respond to the contradiction of herself and the callouts by many on Twitter, but she has made a name for herself twisting nonsensical points so only time will tell.
