Doc McStuffins fans can stop worrying about the fate of the popular Disney Junior Show. Disney Junior has decided to have the doctor return to work! Even though the show has dealt with controversy in the past, nothing can compare to the controversy surrounding its pending Season 5. Fans took to social media after wondering why a fifth season of the show had not been announced. Despite all attempts to make sure the Doc stayed on duty, it wasn't confirmed until Tuesday.

The show has proven to be influential with its main character being a young black girl who aspires to be a doctor. With very few children's shows on air that provide adequate representation of black people, Doc McStuffins is our hope. Disney Junior released a statement from executive vice president and general manager of Disney Junior World Wide, Nancy Kanter. "I can think of no other children’s television show in recent history that has touched as many lives and made the kind of impact around the world that Doc has," she said.

We couldn't agree more. Fans will have to wait awhile before the new season airs. It's slated to premiere in 2018.
