CNN host Don Lemon created a buzz on social media after a wild night on New Year's Eve.

According to Yahoo, the anchor was co-hosting CNN's countdown with Brooke Baldwin when he revealed a Lemon 2020 tattoo on his forearm.

"I have a big announcement and it's somewhere on my body," Lemon said on live TV before rolling up his sleeve and revealing the tattoo.

Baldwin was as shocked as everybody else when Lemon made the announcement.

"Did you seriously get a tattoo?" she said. "Oh my gosh."

Lemon then said the tattoo is real, adding to his co-host's surprise.

"No it's not," Baldwin said as Lemon continued to insist that it was real.

The anchor has had other wild moments previously on New Year's Eve, according to Yahoo. In 2016, he pierced his ear and went on a rant about his love life. In 2019, the 53-year-old responded to Twitter users who started #DrunkDonLemon, yelling “I’m not drunk, but whatever.”

"Don Lemon is getting a little more hammered. Good to see!" one Twitter user wrote after his latest episode.

The celebration kicked into another gear for Lemon as he continued to sing and dance throughout the broadcast.

"Don Lemon is drunk and I’m here for it," one Twitter user wrote.

Many people who have already seen Lemon's wild moments in previous years have made it a tradition to tune in to CNN's New Year's Eve broadcast.

"Don Lemon getting visibly drunk on the New Year's broadcast is a beloved tradition that justifies his entire salary," one person said.

Another person called it America's favorite pastime.

There were also some who envied the anchor for the amount of fun he gets to have on the job.

"They let Don Lemon trash Trump all year and get drunk on TV once a year," one person said. "I want his job."

According to Pop Culture, the anchor had a memorable New Year's Eve in 2018 when he kissed his longtime boyfriend Tim Malone on air. Lemon came out as gay in 2011 with his memoirTransparent, Pop Culture reported.

While Lemon celebrated in Nashville on Wednesday, Anderson Copper was turning up in New York as he hosted CNN's New Year’s Eve celebration from Times Square. The anchor took shots with Bravo TV personality Andy Cohen and rapper 50 Cent.

At one point, Cooper was struggling to keep it cool after taking a shot.

“I didn’t want to explode in front of 50 Cent,” the 52-year-old said as he was gagging. “I was trying to seem cool in front of him.”
