In his latest announcement about what he can do for black people, presidential nominee Donald Trump revealed his plan for “urban renewal”. During a rally in Charlotte, Trump revealed the details of his plans to a hand-picked crowd. The attendees for the invite only rally consisted primarily of white Republicans and a few black voters.

As we get closer to election day Trump is trying hard to get the support of black voters as he slips in the polls against Clinton.

Insisting African-Americans continue falling behind the rest of the U.S., Trump announced his ideas on strengthening the community.

Trump revealed the following:

  • Education assistance and greater school choice
  • Family tax breaks
  • Federal disaster funds reserved for national disasters will be made available to cities and states
  • Social services funding would be shifted to fund a micro lending program
  • Funds used towards Syrian refugees and other nations suspected of terrorist links would be used to pay for urban investments.
  • Make African American communities “safe again”

“I mean you walk to the store to buy a loaf of bread, maybe with your child, and you get shot, your child gets shot,” Trump said.

The crowd filled with those who are already strong supporters of Trump were thrilled at the idea of pitting immigrants against African Americans and solving the inner city policing problems.

“Illegal immigration violates the civil rights of African Americans,” he said.

This urban renewal plan as proposed simply moves funds around that are meant for aids agencies. Trump did not discuss moving funds from any other source.
