The Queens are coming! The ladies of ABC’s upcoming music drama series has released their first single and music video from the show. Swizz Beatz and Avery “Avery Beatz” Chambliss produced the song and the former is the executive music producer for all series’ music, which will be released via Def Jam. This song, “Nasty Girl” kicks things off as new music will be released from the show weekly.

The music video is directed by Queens director and EP Tim Story and features stars Eve, Naturi Naughton, Nadine Velazquez and Brandy basking in ’90s hip-hop greatness.

“As artists who came up in the ’90s, ‘Nasty Girl’ is our love letter to the groundbreaking music and hip-hop culture of the era,” said Eve, Naturi Naughton, Nadine Velazquez and Brandy in a statement received by Shadow and Act. “Filming the music video on a yacht in Miami, with the Champagne flowing and pyrotechnics blasting, stirred up a sense of nostalgia and pride in how far we have come as artists. To still be in the game today and supporting each other along the way is what our show Queens is all about.”

“To see these Queens come together in unity is amazing in 2021,” said Swizz Beatz. “This show is special in many ways to me and it’s an honor to be the Executive Music Producer.”

The series stars stars Eve as Brianna aka Professor Sex, Naturi Naughton as Jill aka Da Thrill, Nadine Velazquez as Valeria aka Butter Pecan, Taylor Sele as Eric Jones, Pepi Sonuga as Lil Muffin and Brandy as Naomi aka Xplicit Lyrics.

Queens is produced by ABC Signature, a part of Disney Television Studios. The pilot episode was written by Zahir McGhee and directed by Tim Story. Zahir McGhee, Sabrina Wind and Tim Story are executive producers. Swizz Beatz is executive music producer.

The first episode of Queens premieres on Oct. 19.
