Chloe Bailey released her highly anticipated solo debut album, In Pieces, on March 31. Her mentor, who is none other than Grammy Award winner and performer Beyoncé, helped her ahead of the project’s release.

“Yes, I know she listened to the album,” Bailey told Entertainment Tonight when asked if Beyoncé had listened to In Pieces. “She gave me notes on it before I released it.”

“I love her so much. Dearly, dearly, and I’m so grateful to her for everything,” she added.

Bailey shared her excitement surrounding her debut solo album.

“I was so nervous, and now I just feel at peace,” she said. “I’m so happy it’s out. I got to say everything I wanted to say, and I hope people get an insight more into who Chloë is.”

“I’ve been reminding myself to stay present and stay in the moment,” she continued.

According to Billboard, the “Have Mercy” singer met Beyoncé in 2003, when she played a younger version of Bey’s character in The Fighting Temptations. In 2015, she signed to Beyoncé’s record label, Parkwood Entertainment, alongside her sister Halle Bailey after the duo went viral for their cover of Beyoncé’s single “Pretty Hurts.”

Since then, Beyoncé has served as a mentor to both Chloë and Halle Bailey.

“I’m so proud of you,” Beyoncé said as she presented them with the rising star award at the 2020 Billboard Women in Music Awards. “You’ve done this with authenticity, with grace, with raw talent, and you manage to shine in every room you enter, and I’ll always love you.”

Beyoncé also delivered Chloë a handwritten note and a bouquet to congratulate her on performing her singles “Surprise” and “Treat Me” on the 2022 BET Awards stage.

“You killed it last night! Making me proud. All my love,” Queen Bey wrote in her message.

Chloë is entering an exciting new phase of her career. She is preparing to go on tour across the United States while promoting starring roles in Prime Video’s Swarm and Peacock’s Praise This film.
