Betty Gabriel has joined the cast of the Netflix thriller series Clickbait.
According to Variety, the Get Out star joins Zoe Kazan, Phoenix Raei and Adrian Grenier. The eight-episode series will showcase how “our most dangerous and uncontrolled impulses are fueled in the age of social media and reveal to the ever-widening fractures we find between our virtual and real-life personas.” The show has started filming in Melbourne, Australia.
Gabriel’s character, Sophie Brewer, is an Oakland resident who tries to keep her family together after they become central to a media story gripping the country.
The series is created by Tony Ayres and Christian White. White will co-produce and write, and Ayres will act as showrunner. Ayres will also be producing via his company Tony Ayres Productions, along with Matchbox Pictures and Tom Winchester and David Heyman from Heyday Pictures.
