During Tuesday’s Blind Auditions on The Voice, Ms. Monet delivered a remarkable performance of Steve Winwood’s “Higher Love” that not only impressed the coaches but also brought about an unexpected revelation for Gwen Stefani.

Both Stefani and Reba McEntire turned their chairs for Ms. Monet, recognizing her undeniable talent. However, when Stefani started discussing the potential of Ms. Monet harnessing her star power, a surprising twist unfolded. Ms. Monet revealed, “You did a Christmas album in 2017, right? I sung backgrounds on your Christmas album!” She then sang a snippet of Stefani’s holiday duet with Blake Shelton, “You Make It Feel Like Christmas.”

Stefani exclaimed, “That’s me and Blakey!” Ms. Monet responded, “That’s me with you, girl!”

“I knew it! I knew I had to press,” said Stefani.

McEntire, on the other hand, pitched Ms. Monet on her love for touring and singing harmony, while John Legend praised Ms. Monet’s incredible range and variety of talents, emphasizing that she deserves the spotlight.

In a surprising twist, Ms. Monet chose to join Team McEntire, believing it to be her best chance to elevate her singing career.

As The Voice continues, the competition is getting a bit fierce, as the coaches are all determined to guide their respective team members to victory.
