Facebook is testing out a feature in select countries that gives users the ability to post a clip to respond to any status update. A spokesperson with the social media powerhouse shared that this is part of an effort to “give people different tools to share fun, expressive content with their friends on Facebook.”

To comment with a video, users would click the camera icon (just as if they were going to take a picture) and change the camera mode to video. However, the videos won’t auto play.

This comes at little surprise since the company has been aggressively pursuing videos to grow audience engagement. As more people become more comfortable with sharing videos (the success of Snapchat serves as proof of this), Facebook is looking to capitalize on this trend.

This is still only an experiment at this point, but there is a chance that this will roll out to everyone in the near future.
