First Lady Michelle Obama never passes up an opportunity to bust a move.
Mrs. Obama kills it every time she’s invited for a dance number. Throw James Corden in the mix and you know a party is about to go down. For his latest “Carpool Karaoke” segment, The Late Late Show host took a tour of the White House grounds and the FLOTUS served as his tour guide. Their first song selection was none other than Stevie Wonder’s classic “Sign, Sealed, Delivered”.
While it’s pretty common for us commoners to rock out in the car to our favorite hits on the radio, the First Lady admitted that sitting in the passenger seat and letting loose has been a rarity in the last seven and a half years. Of course, she had to make up for lost time.
Next up? “Single Ladies”. While she didn’t exactly hand out an official endorsement, the First Lady acknowledged that she and James were making honey in the “beyhive” for some “lemonade”.
We see what you did there!
And the conversation really took a deeper turn when James asked her SnapChat account. The First Lady explained that she plans to document an upcoming trip to Spain, Liberia and Morocco in conjunction with her “Let Girls Learn” initiative.
“So much could be corrected in the world if girls were educated and had power over their lives. My message to kids here is don’t take your education for granted because there are girls around the world who would die to get the education we have,” she explained.
In a smooth transition, the two sang “This is For My Girls” which is the inspirational anthem for “Let Girls Learn”. They needed a little backup, though.
Things became super lit when Missy Elliott popped out.

For the closing carpool number, they surprised us with a little throwback Missy. Like seriously, the Founding Fathers never thought America would see a black First Lady rapping at the White House.
The people loved it.
Regardless of your political beliefs and preferences, You can’t deny Michelle is #PureClass, Americans should be proud. 🇨🇦🇺🇸 #FLOTUSCarpool
