There will never be another Michelle Obama, and there will never be anything close to her when it comes to being the First Lady of The United States. Hate it or love it, you have to respect that for eight years, she has given us a piece of her and every piece came with a glimmer of hope. As time winds down, and she prepares to step out of the role of First Lady, she allowed Vogue to experience some of her final moments. In her third Vogue cover story, First Lady Michelle LaVaughn Robinson Obama goes out with a bang.

Vogue writer, Jonathan Van Meter, spent five days with the First Lady and attended several events. He got a close up of what it's like as she counts down the days and fulfills her last appearances as First Lady. On a trip to Howard University to surprise students, he captures a side of FLOTUS that we all are familiar with.  First Lady relays this sentiments of proving your worth to the auditorium of college freshmen. “For all of you sitting here, with those doubts in your head — because those whispers of doubt, they stay with you for a very long time — ignore them. . . . I still carry that with me today, as First Lady of the United States, because there are people who don’t think I should be doing that either.”

She's right. Not many people thought she would be First Lady, and while she didn't choose to be a political spouse, she is one and the best to ever do it. President Obama tells Vogue, "People see themselves in her. A dedicated mom, a good friend, and someone who’s not afraid to poke a little fun at herself from time to time."

Not sure if any of us can ever be as snatched as FLOTUS is in this Vogue cover story but I sure wouldn't mind trying. Check out photos from the Vogue Magazine December 2016 issue:

She didn't have to slay us like this on the way out. Don't leave us. I need four more!
