Salmon is a fish that can taste great whether it’s fresh or frozen. It can enhance almost any side dish that you can think of. Whether rice, broccoli, squash, sweet potato or a garden salad, salmon is versatile and complementary. It cooks quickly, depending on the thickness, and  you can try most seasonings to spice it up. Most importantly, it’s fairly easy on the wallet.

Here’s a foolproof way to perfect your baked salmon:

  1. Season it with some salt, pepper and ground ginger and let it marinate in Teriyaki sauce for about an hour.
  2. Pre-heat the oven to 325 degrees and set your timer for 25 minutes.
  3. Place the salmon on foil and put it into the oven.
  4. After about 15 minutes, while the salmon is baking, lightly oil your skillet with olive oil. Take your broccoli and put it in the skillet.
  5. Toss in some of your favorite seasonings (I use an Italian, lemon zest or sweet ginger).
  6. Cook until tender.
  7. Check on your salmon, if it’s flaky when you pierce it with a fork, it’s done. Enjoy!
