So imagine this scenario: You’re expecting guests to come over soon when you realize that your overflowing laundry basket is smelling a little ripe. You might have a funky roommate whose gym workouts are motivating, but there are showers at the gym for a reason. You might be a traveler, jetsetter and proud member of #teamcarryon, meaning, (un)fortunately, you spend an ample amount of time living out of your suitcase. Sometimes, even with your best intentions, your clothes might smell a little icky.
Whether you’re on-the-go or around the house, you would need something both cost effective and odor tackling. Febreze can get pricey after awhile, especially if you use it often. This is where my nifty DIY hack comes in handy.
Here is what you need to make your own travel-sized Febreze spray:
- A spray bottle (any size)
- A handful in-wash booster laundry pellets (Downey Unstoppables or Gain Fireworks are great choices)
- water
- 1 tsp. baking soda (1 tbsp. if using a full-sized spray bottle)
Fill your spray bottle with a handful of the pellets and fill the bottle with water. Once the pellets are dissolved spray away, your DIY Febreze hack is ready to go.
