We all know that good lighting is the trick to a perfect selfie, but it’s not always easy to achieve that dewy glow IRL. Beyonce’s stylist Ty Hunter, however, is hoping to change that with his latest beauty-meets-tech innovation: the Ty-Lite, an iPhone case with a built-in LED frame.

The idea is to give you even, adjustable lighting — so basically, it’s like one of those vanity mirrors you see backstage at fashion shows, except pocket size. Imagine the possibilities: perfect Snapchats! Endless Beyoncé-pun captions! #NoFilter Instagram posts galore! You don’t have to worry about ditching your OtterBox either, because the Ty-Lite is also protective.

The case has three settings: Cool, for outdoors, Warm, for indoors, and Indoor/Outdoor, which Ty told Glamour, “gives you that little extra glam.” And you can also control the brightness of each setting, for 100% custom lighting.

“Light is so important to look your best,” Ty told Glamour. He came up with the idea while FaceTiming in bed. “I wanted to look good, and I did not want to get up!”

The cases launched this week on Ty’s site, where they’re available for $79.99 each — hey, perfect pics don’t come cheap.

It’s hard to imagine whipping out a giant glowing lightbox in restaurants and museums, but if the selfie-stick happened, anything is possible. One thing’s for sure though if the Ty-Lite works as well as we think it does, 2016’s selfies are going to be #flawless.
