James Earl Jones is a legend. He is the original voice of the most evil Sith lord to ever exist. My mother told me that the entire black community was happy to see him handling business like a real G should, even if it was just his voice, in the original films, so this is huge:
Mr. Jones is returning to the dark side as the voice of Darth Vader.
There were rumors before about the presence of Vader in the upcoming Rouge One: A Star Wars Story, but it has now been confirmed in an interview with Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy herself. So, it’s definitely legit this time!
This is a huge win for the every nostalgic Star Wars fanboy or girl that’s a fan of the of the franchise. It’s an even bigger win for the entire blerd community that loves the legendary actor, who has voiced and played so many of our favorite characters over the span of his career. I hope you’re ready to pull out your Darth Vader cosplay for opening night (because I will). May the force be with you.
