According to Chron.com, the 27-year-old announced his plans on Sunday in a now-viral TikTok video that amassed more than 1.8 million views on the video-sharing platform.

“It’s official, the next stop on the Keith Lee and Family Food Tour is Houston, Texas,” Lee said in the nearly two-minute video, “which means the people of Houston, I’m calling on y’all.”

He continued, “Any family-owned restaurants, mom-and-pop shops or local places which have great food, customer service but need help with marketing … y’all can hit me up.”

Lee recently started a social media debate after visiting several Atlanta food spots. Blavity reported that the Detroit native visited in late October and was surprised to learn that some restaurants operate differently than other establishments in major cities.

Lee recounted several issues he experienced at The Real Milk and Honey, a popular brunch spot in the historic College Park area, as he shared his review with his followers. He recalled being unable to call the restaurant to place an order or through DoorDash. Lee also recalled visiting the establishment with his family and was told it was closed for deep cleaning, but other customers were seated at tables enjoying their meals.

His review went viral on social media, prompting other users to share their experiences with the restaurants he mentioned. They also agreed with Lee, stating that many of the restaurants in Atlanta have had poor customer service for years.

Lee’s recent video also made its rounds on X, formerly known as Twitter, and sparked reactions from users after he announced his plans to come to Houston.

“Keith Lee coming to Houston!!!!!! GET READY #KeithLee,” @TVFan43 wrote.

“He needs to review some of these places that charge to park too 😂😂,” @Summer_Reignzz shared.

“The owners in Houston when Lee walks in,” @RP3natural commented alongside a GIF.

One user pointed out that Lee’s food tour is also to help smaller businesses that need help attracting more customers.

“I know y’all gone get these jokes off but the point of these tours is not to tear down, it’s to spotlight some of the smaller businesses that don’t get the shine they may deserve….this culture of preying on the downfall of others is really not healthy,” @denika_white wrote.

Lee hopes to visit Houston sometime after Thanksgiving.

“We gonna enjoy Thanksgiving as a family, and it’s on and popping,” he said in his video. “So if you would like for me to come and get my honest input and my honest feedback, again, hit me up.”
