Lil Wayne hasn’t been the same since he and Birdman fell out. Although has been recently featured on several of the songs we love, he still isn’t the same Wayne from the Hot Boyz. You would think that the rapper would understand firsthand why Black Lives Matter and the importance of speaking out against injustice. Yet, somehow, Lil Wayne doesn’t agree.

He sat down with Linsey Davis of ABC’s Nightline and stated in front of millions of viewers that he doesn’t feel connected to the Black Lives Matter movement. When Davis asked him to share his thoughts on Black Lives Matter, he responded with a question. “What is that, what do you mean?”  Once Davis explained, he said “I don’t feel connected to a d*mn thing that ain’t got nothing to do with me.”

Weezy thinks that he is proof that there is no issue because he’s young, rich and famous. “That man white, he filming me, I’m a n*gga,” he told Davis. “I don’t know what you mean man, don’t come at me with that dumb sh*t man. My life matter.”

This is coming from the same man that said “We are black America, Black Lives Matter!” at a concert in Louisiana, but also said he wasn’t affected by racism.

Folks weren’t too fond of his interview.

At this point, Lil Wayne may be a lost cause. Shall we officially add him to the list of black people we want to vote off the island? There he can join Stacey Dash, Bow Wow and Wendy Williams.

We were rooting for you. We all were rooting for you!
