Ludacris and Ciara are far from strangers. In 2005, they gave us the ATL classic “Oh”, and in 2010, they were back at it again, with Tricky Stewart & The Dream behind the boards, on “Ride”.
Luda and Cici are coming together once again for another music adjacent collaboration of sorts. They will be co-hosting the 2016 Billboard Awards together. This will be Mr. Bridges third year being host of the show, and he has said that it is, “a pleasure to host with my good friend Ciara…I’m looking forward to another great show in a new and exciting venue.”
The finalists for each category have not yet been announced, but reports say that the competitors in six of the categories will be revealed on April 11th’s episode of Good Morning America, with more info to follow on the Billboard Awards’ Facebook and Periscope accounts.
When asked about hosting, Ciara said, “The Billboard Music Awards is one of best awards shows to honor chart success. My great friend Ludacris and I have also shared songs together on the Billboard chart…I look forward to sharing the stage with him on this special night. It will definitely be a night to remember!”
The Billboard Awards will take place on May 22nd, 2016 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, and will be broadcasted live at 8 pm eastern time on ABC.
