Emeka Ogboh is a sound artist and video artist.  In this interview, Aina Fadina interviews Emeka about his project of bringing the soundscape of Lagos to New York.  His current project involves the sounds of a Danfo Bus, an iconic yellow and black bus that typically holds 14-16 people. According to Emeka, the busses are the main mode of mass transit in Lagos, and therefore capturing their sound conjures the pulse of the city. “That’s what makes working with sound beautiful.  It connects with the emotive side of humans.”

The project was organized and hosted by The Africa Center, New York. Click for  more information
