The Queen of TV, Oprah Winfrey, will sit down with the First Lady for their final one on one interview tonight on CBS. In what CBS is calling, First Lady Michelle Obama Says Farewell to the White House — An Oprah Winfrey Special, our FLOTUS speaks with Winfrey in their private residence at the White House. The intimate interview plans to give us answers to the burning questions we are running out of time to ask. FLOTUS will discuss what the past eight years have been like for her in the White House and what she plans to do next.

CBS This Morning aired a preview of the interview on Friday morning causing a bit of a national stir. When Oprah asked the First Lady about her husband's legacy of hope, some believed that her comments were directed at the incoming administration. "I think that we feel the difference now. See, now we're feeling what not having hope feels like," Obama said. "Hope is necessary. It's a necessary concept. What else do you have, if you don't have hope?" she says. "What do you give your kids if you can't give them hope?"

President-elect Trump responded to her statements while on the road in Alabama. “We have tremendous hope, and we have tremendous promise and tremendous potential," Trump said. "And beyond hope, we have such potential. This country has such potential. You watch, it’s going to be so special. Things are going to happen like you haven’t seen happen in many many decades,” he said.

You can decide for yourself if the First Lady's comments were directed at anyone in particular. CBS will air the special Monday, December 19 at 8 p.m. Eastern/7 p.m. central with a rebroadcast on OWN December 21.
