“Black-ish” actor Miles Brown took over NBA’s All-Star weekend.

Brown was not only an NBA correspondent but he also performed his first single “NBA” during the pre-game. The song is coupled with a music video featuring former Los Angeles Laker Derek Fisher and Los Angeles Dodger Yasiel Puig.

Although Brown has soared past grade-level expectations by starring in the hit ABC comedy since 2014, he continues to aim towards the future with hopes of joining the NBA. This dream is the basis of his new single.

“I wrote this song to inspire people to chase their dreams. My dream is to play in the NBA one day, and I am doing everything I can to make that happen," Brown wrote in an email to Blavity. "I love to sing, dance and act… I have a lot of goals and I hope my song can inspire others to dream as big as I do. #DreamBigInspireMany."

Outside of performing, Brown captured epic behind the scenes shots of the star-studded weekend. He also granted Blavity exclusive access to those photos, showing us what it’s like to be an All-Star. Along the way, he got to meet some of our faves, including Chadwick Boseman of Black Panther, Chance the Rapper and more!
