Lee Daniels is back with another hit show in the making and an all-star cast to make the magic happen on FOX.

Star has been added to Fox’s list of midseason dramas to debut in 2017. Daniels’ brings another look into the music business and the dangers of the industry from the perspective of a girl group. The cast for this show is full of heavy hitters, and soon-to-be household names.

Emmy, Grammy, and Golden Globe-winner Queen Latifah scored a lead role in Star alongside Benjamin Bratt. Grammy Award winner Lenny Kravitz will appear as a guest star. Jude Demorest, Ryan Destiny and Brittany O’Grady are new faces that we will get to know and love.

This is musical drama number two for Daniels’ on FOX right behind the wildly successful Empire.

Also, coming to Fox next year is Pitch, the story of Ginny Baker (played by Kylie Bunbury) who becomes the first woman to play Major League Baseball in the history of the sport.

Damon Wayans returns to FOX in Lethal Weapon with an action-packed mix of drama and comedy. He stars as veteran LAPD detective Roger Murtaugh opposite Clayne Crawford as Martin Riggs in this TV adaptation of the 80’s cult classic, four-part franchise.

Corey Hawkins gets his shine time in 24: Legacy. The Straight Outta Compton star plays Sergeant Eric Carter in this FOX revival of a race against the clock to prevent a potentially horrific terror attack on the U.S.

On Monday, FOX also dropped a trailer for Shots Fired, a drama following a racially charged Black police shooting of a white teen starring Sanaa Lathan and Mack Wilds. The series event premieres this fall.
