New York City high schooler Kelly Hyles is racking up one college acceptance letter after another. Kelly, who’s originally from a small village in Guyana, has received 21 college acceptance letters and her #BlackGirlMagic doesn’t end there. Eight of those acceptance letters are from all of the Ivy Leagues in this country.

Kelly’s success hasn’t come without hard work. During the day she attends the High School for Math, Science and Engineering at City College and at night she does research at Mt. Sinai Hospital.

In her interview with NBC, Kelly attributed her success to her mother, who brought her to the U.S. for a better education, “When I got into the colleges, I told my mom, I was like ‘Oh, these acceptance letters are as much mine as they are yours.”
