UPDATE: According to the The Associated Press, Talladega College will in fact perform at the inaugural parade.

Previously reported: President-elect Donald Trump is finding it difficult to secure performers for his inauguration next month. The list of artists who have reportedly turned down the President-elect includes Elton John, Celine Dion, Andrea Bocelli, KISS, Garth Brooks and David Foster. Trump's camp isn't just having an issue confirming celebrities, but it seems as though they also have an issue confirming bands.

Earlier this month, we told you all about the high school marching bands who have historically marched in the inaugural parade, but chose not to apply this time around. Then there was Howard University's own marching band who marched in Obama's first inaugural parade, but decided to not apply to march in Trump's inaugural parade. Howard's band director, John Newson said, "I think everyone knows why and no one wants to say and lose their job."

Marching in an inaugural parade is a huge moment for HBCUs, allowing their talent to be showcased to a national audience. This potential excitement may be what led Talladega College to reportedly be the lone HBCU band agreeing to play at Donald Trump's inauguration.

According to Gumptown magazine's Facebook page, Talladega College was selected to march in the inaugural parade. The Marching Tornadoes are set to represent the HBCU, which is located in Talladega, Alabama. The university has yet to release an official statement confirming their participation.

If confirmed, what are your thoughts on an HBCU marching in Trump's inaugural parade?  Leave your response in the comments below.
