“Proud to Present” is a new public service announcement from President Obama’s My Brother’s Keeper initiative that reaffirms the potential of boys of color.
The boys featured in the minute-long video are celebrated for achievements that men of color seldom receive or are thought to have the ability to achieve, such as Best Actor in a Leading Role and class valedictorian.
The PSA first aired during the 2016 MTV Movie Awards on Sunday night. Obama’s My Brother’s Keeper initiative seeks to close the achievement gap of boys of colors based upon 6 education and career focused milestones.
