A teacher at Burns Middle School in Mobile, Alabama has been placed on administrative leave for giving her eighth grade students a quiz containing “racist” and “offensive” subject matter.

The 10-question quiz, which is available online, contains references to gang culture, asking about pimping, drug deals and even murder. Some of the questions include:

  • Jarone want to cut his 1/2 pound of heroin to make 20% more profit. How many ounces of cut will he need?
  • Hector knocked up 6 girls in his gang. There are 27 girls in the gang. What percentage of the girls in the gang has Hector knocked up?
  • Rufus is pimping for three girls. If the price is $65 for each trick, how many tricks will each girl have to turn so Rufus can pay for his $800-per-day crack habit?

Erica Hall, a parent of one of the students who was administered this test, says that the 8th grade class thought it was a joke. “She told them that it wasn’t a joke and that they had to complete it and turn it in,” Hall told FOX 10 in Mobile. The network says this test has a long history and has been “turning up in classrooms across the country since the 1990s.”
