Rapper Lil Loaded died Monday morning after sustaining an alleged self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, TMZ reported.

"Sadly, I can confirm Mr. Robertson passed away as a result of a reported suicide," Ashkan Mehryari, the rapper’s attorney, wrote in an email to CNN on Tuesday.

According to the police report, cops in Cedar Hill, Texas, responded to a call about an attempted suicide on Monday morningwd. Upon arrival at the 1500 block of Allen Drive, they found the 20-year-old dead inside with a gun nearby and his bereaved mother crying on the porch.

Lil Loaded, born Dashawn Robertson, was said to be emotional on Sunday night, one day prior to his death. His mother told police he had been upset over his ex-girlfriend.

Mehryari said that his client’s death was “very tragic” and was completely blind-sided by the news of his passing.

“He had a very bright and promising music career ahead of him,” he told The Dallas Morning News.

Police say the rapper’s mother told them she had returned home to find her son in the second-floor hallway.

Prior to his death, Robertson posted an obscure and ominous message to one of his last Instagram stories.

“Dear most high, please forgive me for my shortcomings and all of the times I’ve fell short of making you proud and being appreciative of the blessings that have been put in my life,” the post read. “Sometimes the lines are blurred between being solid and being heartless."

“I want to thank you for how far I’ve come and the people you’ve put in my life to keep me grounded and humble through everything, and I love every single one of those people that are genuinely for me,” the story continued. “I ask for entrance into your kingdom thru all of my mistakes. I know you love all your children, and I’m ready for my heart and soul to join you.”

One week ago, the rapper shared that his summer 2019 single, “6locc 6a6y” was certified gold, which equates to selling 500,00 units. The music video for the track went viral, amassing over 25 million views on YouTube and eventually led to him being signed with Epic Records.

"6LOCC 6A6Y Certified Gold ???????? Who runnin dis s**t like me ????????…dopest fanbase on earth," he wrote excitedly on Instagram upon news of his record's success.

Robertson was also facing manslaughter charges in the October shooting death of one of his best friends, 18-year-old-Khalil Walker, according to USA Today. He was scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.

"While pending charges as serious as Mr. Robertson's can be exceedingly stressful, and it certainly may have contributed to this tragic outcome, I believe he was in a good place mentally with regard to the charges and our upcoming court date," Mehryari said.

Stanley Gabart, whose production company worked with the record label, said he was shocked by the death of the young man who he believed to be full of talent and joy.

“This kid was on a great path,” he said, The Dallas Morning News reports. “He was struggling with some things we wish we would’ve known about, wish we could’ve intervened and gotten to a different outcome.”

The investigation is ongoing pending an autopsy conducted by the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office.
