The Simpsons have brought stellar collaborations and guest appearances over its 600 episode existence. This time around the FOX's longtime hit show is bringing Snoop Dogg, RZA (of the Wu-Tang Clan) and Common to star in the legendary comedy.

First announced at Entertainment Weekly, the hour-long special is titled, "The Great Phatsby” clearly an homage to the Roaring Twenties with a hip-hop spin on the story.  Taraji P. Henson and Keegan-Michael Key are also along for the ride. The crew went the extra mile in recruiting Jim Beanz from Empire to create new songs specifically for this episode.

Now I’m going to keep it 100 with you guys, I’m not a big Simpsons fan, pretty much because I wasn’t allowed to watch it growing up. I know some of you can relate, however, one cannot deny the show’s historical prowess and satire. One thing I’ve always appreciated aboutThe Simpsons is how the show brings issues into the limelight all through humor.

Expected to air in January, this will be The Simpsons first hour-long episode.
