Sage Steele is one of the most visible, prominent female sports commentators in the game right now! Now, she’s getting an expanded duty at ESPN, and its sounds lit.
She’s been on ESPN for nearly a decade, and is currently the host of NBA Countdown. She’ll continue being the host of NBA Countdown, but now she has another gig to add to her plate! She’ll be the lead host of SportsCenter on the Road!
This role will see Steele anchoring on the road at the biggest events in sports, including the Super Bowl, NBA Finals the Final Four, the Masters and many, many more! This is a part of Steele’s newly-minted, multi-year contract extension with the network.
In a statment, Steele said, “ESPN has been my home for nearly a decade, and to have the chance to ensure that it remains my home for the long-term future absolutely means the world to me.”
Describing Steele as one of the sports network’s “most recognizable and talented personalities,” ESPN says her new role will begin in October.
