What do barbecue, basketball, and foot massages have in common? The answer: Stephen Curry. The Golden State Warriors MVP is known to sing and dance about BBQ and foot massages before each game. It may seem strange, but there’s a method to his madness.
In 2009, comedian Robert L. Hines and the Chicago-based comedy group, Big Dog Eat Child posted a hilarious ad for “Jones’ Good Ass BBQ & Foot Massage.”
The video went viral and has accumulated over 5 million views.
The biggest takeaway was Curry incorporating the jingle into his pregame ritual. The two-time MVP told ABC News, “If I miss a beat, I get a little nervous and have to go back and redo my steps. It kinda gets me in game mode, so I kinda enjoy it.”
Curry and Golden State security guards recreate the video before each game.
The whole Warriors roster should get in on this action. Wednesday, they lost Game 3 of the NBA Finals to the Cleveland Cavaliers, 120-90. Keep your heads up!
