Stephen A. Smith has put his foot in his mouth, yet again after appearing on ESPN First Take to talk about Ayesha Curry’s commentary during last night’s Game 6 Finals match up. After Golden State Warriors point guard, Steph Curry had a less than stellar performance and was ejected from the game, his #WCW made a remark on Twitter that she later deleted.

Although both Steph and Ayesha Curry addressed that the tweet was made in the heat of the moment, with Steph going far as to defend his wife’s actions, Smith found it appropriate to comment on Ayesha’s place as the wife of an NBA athlete. The ESPN commentator went on to mansplain that Ayesha Curry is a representation of her husband and should act as such. He also compared Mrs. Curry’s actions to that of the wife of Lebron James, Savannah Brinson, who in his opinion, “doesn’t bring any attention to herself.”

While Smith is entitled to say what he wants to, the only thing he got right in this whole tirade is that in fact Ayesha Curry and Savannah Brinson are two different women. They are two different, independent women who carry out different lives and have the right to do as they please. But Smith couldn’t come to that conclusion on his own. Instead, many folks in the Twittersphere gathered together to give Stephen A. Smith the facts and partake in a small roasting session.

1. Stephen A. Smith is always in formation for some meninist rhetoric and it doesn’t shock us anymore.

2. Then there was this revelation that can’t be unseen.

3. Twitter sure does know how to drag and educate in less than 140 characters.

4. The shade is never-ending.

5. Who knew the tea was this hot though?

6. Sounds like the start of a new dating website catered to mansplainers and hoteps. Perfect for Smith.

7. Then there was this moment when the truth just revealed itself.

8. Let’s just call the thing a thing, people.

9. But here is the question we have all been asking.

10. Fellow sportscasters chimed in.

11. Ok, we’re done. This one took us out.

One day Smith will realize that Twitter always has time.
