By now, we’ve all heard about the Mr. Bryan Williams scandal up at the Breakfast Club’s morning radio show.

We’ve seen the memes, and gifs, and parodies, remixes, etc. etc. But these are melodies from heaven, with Brian “Birdman” “Baby” Williams’ words serving as the lyrics. These gentleman, 2E, J. Vito, and Tony Lelo, are doing their best to follow in the footsteps of Hattie White and her granddaughter-in-law, Beyoncé, by turning lemons into lemonade.

They are known as The Hamiltones – back up singers making sweet harmonies with soul professional Anthony Hamilton every night on tour. And they are not new to this, but true to this. The group, sometimes with Anthony sometimes without, has reimagined some of your favorite Internet moments and popular trap tunes with beautiful a cappella arrangements that belong in the hallowed halls of tiny baby Jesus. In the words of DJ Clinton Sparks (a popular white DJ that honestly has no real connection this at all), “Get Familiar.” I, for one, look forward to the next Hamiltones masterpiece, and hope for a mixtape in the near future. Until such a time arrives, we can look back upon the classics that this visionary group has already given us in such a short time.

There might not be one singular thing more enjoyable than this 1:00 minute video on the web, at least until next week when the newest phenomenon takes the timeline by storm. Until then, here’s Tank adding some melodies to the spiritual.
