Calesta “Callie” Day’s voice is straight from the heavens and her range will leave you prostrating with your edges at your side. While rehearsing “Hear My Prayer” for the Berea College Festival of Spirituals, Day had everyone joining in a chorus of “You betta stop’s” and jaw drops at her incredible range of this spiritual. That note at 1:20 though! And it was just the rehearsal, Lord knows what she did at the actual performance. Bless her.
