Chris Brown is once again in the headlines for all the wrong reasons.
On June 4, Brown was seen with former girlfriend Karrueche Tran in front of Playhouse Nightclub. Afterwards, a video was uploaded to the Internet displaying Brown forcing himself into Tran’s vehicle. The conversation around his past and present history with domestic abuse then resurfaced on Twitter.
Chris Brown is a perfect example of not cheating on a girl that you know you can’t live without.

Wonder how many folks who blasted Rihanna for breaking up with Chris Brown are cheerleading him stalking Karreuche right now? Lie to me.
— Mikki Kendall (@Karnythia) June 5, 2015
forcing your way into someone’s car? he refuses no as an answer or her right to say no. this is a half step away from physical violence.

“But he’s so fine” isn’t an excuse for his abusive nature. Stop defending Chris Brown based off looks & his mediocre music. He’s crazy.

I really feel like Chris could kill Karrueche and his fans would blame her for her death.
— Coretta (@NappyMetanoia) June 5, 2015
Chris doesn’t love Karrueche. Chris thinks he owns her. A man who looks at you as his property is a dangerous man. Namaste.

Abuse isn’t always “he hit me” or “she hit me”. Mentally manipulating, controlling, harassing, stalking etc. is abuse.
— BlackSoul (@prettyinblvck) June 5, 2015
So much of abuse culture reinforcement is media messages about “love” & “just wants her back” & “he’s the real victim because he’s so hurt!”

Folks act like ppl are being dramatic to be concerned for Karrueche’s safety. Ummm, we have receipts for our concern. Her name is Rihanna.

You guys are making harassment into a joke ok…

But abusive men like @chrisbrown make it impossible for abused and battered women to escape them. And society watches the train wreck

Chris Brown physically assaulted a woman and he’s continued to show his methodical manipulative, controlling ways. Stop caping for him.

What chris brown did to karruche was not an act of love. He threatened her and her friends if he didn’t get his way. That’s abusive.
— thotticus finch (@delafro_) June 5, 2015
In 24hrs Chris Brown gonna apologize say he only human he’s emotional and he makes mistakes. He should have it saved in his drafts

Keep making excuses for Chris Brown. They’ll stop when we’re discussing someone’s funeral because of him.
