A trip to the beauty supply store, for almost all of us, includes one constant in the mix of yaky and kanekalon possibilities; there are rarely, if ever, any black owners behind the counter. Even though black women are one of the biggest consumers in the beauty industry, that number isn’t represented in ownership of beauty supply stores.

Two sisters who understood the struggle of needing to find a good pack of 1B Brazilian wavy and a good edge control at the same time decided to do something about this. Kayla (19) and Keona Davis (21) opened their own beauty supply store in Moreno, California. At KD Haircare Supply they have every black girl covered from the natural sisters to the sisters still using the creamy crack.
