Keisha Lance Bottoms wants nothing to do with Trump's insane immigration policies. She made that crystal clear, as she signed an executive order prohibiting Atlanta's City Detention Center from accepting ICE detainees from here on out.

In a statement released on Wednesday, June 20, Fox 5 Atlanta reports Bottoms said, "As we work as a nation to end this despicable immigration policy, the City of Atlanta will not take the risk of being complicit in the separation of families at the border."

On behalf of the people of Atlanta, Bottoms said, "I am calling upon the Trump administration and Congress to enact humane and comprehensive measures that address our broken immigration system."

Bottoms said she has advised city officials to pay close attention to what's happening at the Capitol as she continues to ensure that Atlanta fulfills its strong "legacy of inclusion, compassion and tolerance."

We knew Atlanta couldn't go wrong electing a mayor named Keisha.
