Ayesha Curry addressed rumors that she and her husband NBA star Stephen Curry have an open marriage.
In 2021, rumors surfaced that the couple, who have been married for 10 years, was maintaining a facade while engaging in an open marriage, the New York Post reports.
But on Monday, Ayesha posted a photo of Stephen on her Instagram page with the caption, "Good gracious God almighty @stephencurry30."
The post opened a door for a hater to bring up the rumor.
"But yet you still want an open relationship msg [face palm emoji]. If I were him you woulda been sent to the streets already," the heckler wrote under the post.
Unable to let the disrespect slide, Ayesha responded, "Don't believe everything you read. Do you know how ridiculous that is? Don't disrespect my marriage like that. Please and thank you."
Fans on social media came to Ayesha's defense, placing the internet troll in their place.
"Yeah because y'all need to learn how to stay out of married folks business," one person said.
"People really be too ready to comment on a marriage! Know your lane and stay in it!" another person commented.
Despite public speculation, the couple renewed their vows this past September, People reports.
“It’s everything I’ve always dreamed of but didn’t know could be possible in this way. A moment I will never forget,” Ayesha posted on Instagram. “I love you @stephencurry30.”
The mother of three previously spoke about her insecurities on The Red Table Talk. During the conversation in 2019, Ayesha spoke about not receiving male attention at the same level as her husband and his female admirers, BuzzFeed reported.
"Something that really bothers me, and honestly has given me a sense of a little bit of an insecurity, is the fact that — yeah, there are all these women, like, throwing themselves [at him], but me, like, the past 10 years, I don't have any of that. I have zero — this sounds weird — but, like, male attention, and so then I begin to internalize it, and I'm like, 'Is something wrong with me?'" she said.
