Bernie’s mittens are made by Jen Ellis, a teacher from Essex Junction, Vt. She gave them to him 2+ years ago and was surprised when he began wearing them on the campaign trail. A reporter from BuzzFeed News noted that the mittens Sanders wore were from a teacher in his state, who gave them to him more than two years ago, as he campaigned for the Democratic nomination for president.
