Rapper Big Sean and longtime girlfriend and collaborator singer JhenéAiko are expecting their first child together.
The couple confirmed the news after photos of Big Sean and a visibly pregnant Aiko surfaced online last week.
In two separate posts, Big Sean said he has a new motivation now and is grateful for God’s continued blessings.
“Whole new motivation forreal!” Big Sean wrote. “Very grateful God continues to bless us, thank you.”
“Can’t wait to be a Dad,” he wrote, including a black heart emoji.

A representative close to the expecting parents told People the couple is looking forward to the new chapter.
“The couple is overjoyed and looks forward to this next chapter,” the representative said.

In August 2020, the couple revealed they suffered a miscarriage in Big Sean‘s “Deep Reverence” track. In the song that features the late rapper Nipsey Hussle, Sean spoke about dealing with anxiety, suicidal thoughts and the loss of his child with Aiko.
“Should be a billionaire based on the time off I’m not taking,” Big Sean said. “Probably why the sh*t around me get crazy and we lost the baby.”
The loss of her child was never discussed publicly by Aiko.
