Las Vegas Metropolitan Police announced Thursday that Cardi B would not face charges for throwing her microphone into the crowd at a Saturday concert.

“After a thorough review of this case and with the consultation from the Clark County District Attorney’s Office, this case has been closed as having insufficient evidence. No charges will be filed in relation to this case,” authorities told CNN.

The “Jealousy” rapper’s lawyers, David Chesnoff and Richard Schonfeld, released a statement regarding the decision.

“On behalf of Cardi, we appreciate the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Dept’s diligent and prompt resolution of this matter,” they said.

An attendee at Cardi’s show filed a report with the LVMPD after they were “struck by an item that was thrown from the stage.” Authorities didn’t name the New York native in their statement, but the address on the report was the exact location the 30-year-old was performing when the concertgoer was allegedly hit. According to CNN, Cardi performed at Drai’s Beach Club in Las Vegas.

Footage of the incident went viral on social media. In several clips, the rapper performs when a concertgoer appears to throw a drink at her. That’s when the Grammy Award-winner seemed to retaliate and throw her microphone into the crowd. Security guards rushed onto the stage shortly after.

Another video showed Cardi and her DJ asking the crowd to “splash” her with water due to the warm weather. It’s unclear whether this happened before or after the incident.
