We've been on the look out for more information about this project from acclaimed Chadian Filmaker Mahamat Saleh-Haroun since it was announced at Cannes.

Cineuropa is reporting that filming for Grisgris (his follow-up to his 2010 critically-acclaimed drama Un Homme Qui Crie – A Screaming Man) is scheduled to start October 26th.  The film written by Saleh-Haroun centers on:

Grisgris, a 25 year old boy with dreams of becoming a dancer despite the fact his leg is paralysed. His dreams are shattered when his uncle falls seriously ill. To save him, he decides to work for petrol smugglers.  

The film will star Soulémane Démé, Mariam Monory, Cyril Guei, and Marius Yelolo.

Grisgris will be produced by Florence Stern for Pili Films, with Chad's Goï Goï Productions and Frances 3 Cinéma.

While we await the arrival of his fourth feature, you can stream his third effort on Netflix, the Cannes Jury Prize Winner in 2010, A Screaming Man.
