While sitting down with Deadline for the series’ SXSW Film and TV Festival premiere, Bailey opened up about her experience filming her first love scene with Idris and how he helped her get through it.
“When I first read the script I was like, ‘Oh, this is insane,'” Bailey recalled. “‘This is incredible.’ I cried, and then I realized, ‘You gotta do that sex scene girl.'”
According to the “Treat Me” singer, performing the intimate scene with the Snowfall actor was nerve-wracking given her lack of past sexual partners.
“I was very scared because I haven’t had that many partners,” she said. “I’m not like that, that sexual and open. Damson made it very comfortable, you know, there were limited people on set.

Bailey says she and Idris shared a few laughs in between takes which helped the nervousness subside.
While filming the sex scene, the two actors kept a bouncy ball between their bodies, which quickly became an inside joke between them.
“We were making a joke out of it,” she said, adding that her co-star’s good vibes made filming the scene a lot easier.
“I have to give a lot of kudos to him as a man for making me as a woman feel comfortable literally being raw and naked,”Bailey shared.
