There have been a few eyebrow-raising updates to the recent shooting on DaBaby‘s property.

As Blavity previously reported, an incident went down at DaBaby’s North Carolina home on Wednesday that resulted in one unidentified man receiving “a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.” While it was initially unclear who pulled the trigger, the controversial rapper has taken responsibility.

Hours after initial reports on the matter began circulating, TMZ broke the news that DaBaby told authorities that he shot the man, referred to as “an intruder,” in the leg.

It was also revealed that DaBaby was the one who called 9-1-1.

“I don’t know what he here for, what he here to take, what he here to do, but he’s shot in his leg,” DaBaby told the dispatcher. “He’s neutralized until you guys get here.”

The alleged trespasser can be heard groaning in pain in the background.

DaBaby went on to reference the matter on Instagram. He initially posted a screenshot from The Shade Room that showed his home, seemingly complaining about his personal life getting put on blast.

“Media telling n***as business be the main reason n***as get fye put on me,” DaBaby wrote on his IG Story.

Additionally, he further spoke on the matter on Friday, posting a short video from Paid in Full that brushed the matter off.

“I chose not to take a n***a life the other day & it felt great,” DaBaby wrote beneath the video. “Buddy ain’t deserve to go, I step righteously.

“Heal up & live my boy! Just don’t bring ya ass back,” he added.

There have been no further updates on the situation.

It’s worth noting that this isn’t the first time DaBaby has shot someone. In 2018, the rapper killed a 19-year-old man inside a North Carolina Walmart.

DaBaby said that he acted in self-defense, and the charges were later dropped.
