Dorian Missick has joined the cast of TNT’s cop drama Southland in a recurring role as “Ruben Robinson,” new partner to Detective Lydia Adams (played by Regina King).

The series begins its 4th season on January 17, 2012, which will mark Missick’s debut.

Despite the show being in its 4th season, as well as the fact that the lovely Regina King is one of its starring cast members, I unfortunately haven’t seen a single episode of Southland (too much to watch, too little time), but it’s on my list of shows to catch up on.

Existing fans can chime in with their thoughts on the series, as well as Missick’s addition and pairing up with King.

Dorian was most recently seen on the small screen in NBC’s short-lived superhero series The Cape, playing crooked police detective Marty Voyt; he also appeared in Qasim Basir’s critically-acclaimed drama Mooz-lum.
